Meet the
Campaign Director
Trisha Vaughn
In 2019, WKYC named Marion, KY native Trisha Vaughn as its new Campaign Director.

Vaughn’s appointment is an outgrowth of Western Kentucky Youth Camp’s (WKYC) long-range envisioning efforts. As Campaign Director, she works with the Board of Directors to define and create the future of the camp by driving critical transformation projects and organizational branding efforts. Vaughn also provides administrative support to the Board and Caretaker Chip Palmer.
WKYC is a second home for Vaughn, whose parents, Joan and the late David Maclin, served as caretakers of the property. She attended camp annually with her sister, Nancy Wunderlich, as both a camper and later a counselor for different summer sessions and retreats.
Vaughn most recently completed assignments as a consultant for Concord Rd. Church of Christ, as Strategic Planning Director for Lone Oak church of Christ, and was the Campaign Relations Manager for the Cleveland Zoological Society in Cleveland, OH. Trisha earned a Master of Arts in English and graduated Summa Cum Laude with degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Louisville, where she was a McConnell Scholar for leadership. Trisha is married to Derek Vaughn, an Orthopaedic Surgeon and a WKYC alumnus. They have one daughter, Clara Rose Vaughn.
“Trisha brings tremendous passion for the church and a number of professional experiences to her new role that will help position WKYC for lasting impact in the region. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to continuing what is already a long-standing relationship with the camp,” said Board member Tim Teel.

Welcome, Trisha!
