Retreats
You can strengthen your community with a retreat at WKYC.

WKYC is available for use throughout the fall and spring for special retreats hosted by college groups, churches, youth groups, non-profit groups, businesses, and family gatherings.
Western Kentucky Youth Camp is situated on 130 beautiful acres in the Crittenden County countryside. WKYC is one of the premier retreat destinations in the region. Guests will delight in the beauty of God's creation as they gather for time away from their busy lives.

WKYC can host several hundred people for any gathering. Guests can take advantage of the facilities and amenities during their stay, with cabin availability for housing dependent on final headcount.
Pricing & Booking information
WKYC constantly experiences high demand for its facilities in the off-season, especially autumn. Reservations are often made more than a year in advance of the desired date, and are made on a first-come, first-served basis, with the existing reservation holder receiving the right of first refusal before any bookings are made for the following year. Please contact us directly if you have questions about availability.
Cost-effective
WKYC offers one of the most cost-effective weekend retreat options in the country, with retreats costing only $30 per person for a weekend. This $30 applies to those staying overnight, as well as day-only guests and groups only staying Friday - Saturday or Saturday - Sunday. Any guest of your retreat, no matter how long their stay, will be considered part of the headcount and will be factored into the final bill.
WKYC requires a $600 minimum to book your retreat, as well as proof of insurance with limited liability coverage listing WKYC.
Keeping it simple
To keep costs low, we encourage all guests to provide their own meals and snacks for their retreats. WKYC does not supply the following for its retreat guests: food, communion materials, first-aid supplies, bedding, or personal toiletries.

We have some great local catering options for your group!
Next Steps
additional information
Both signed paperwork and a $100 deposit are required to reserve your weekend retreat dates. We do not do "rolling deposits." If your retreat dates are available and you would like to move forward with booking, a form will be supplied to the point of contact.

The state of Kentucky requires all camp and conference centers to pay taxes. If your church group is tax exempt, please supply WKYC with your tax exemption form. Although qualifying churches are exempt from the 6% sales tax if WKYC has the form on file, non-profits are not exempt from the 1% transient tax.
WKYC requires a final headcount list one (1) week in advance of your reservation. Our caretakers will work with you to coordinate housing, as cabins will be available for use depending on the final headcount of your group. Due to cost of operations, families are not guaranteed a cabin for their private use during your group's stay.
To keep costs low, WKYC retreat guests are responsible for cleaning those spaces used by their group, and ensuring the grounds are free from trash and damages. A departure checklist will be supplied in the retreat agreement, as all retreat groups will be required to complete the checklist before leaving camp grounds. At least one representative will need to stay for the final inspection.
